Water Main South of East Lake Avenue Complete

This past week the contractor completed the transferring of water services to the new water main along Longmeadow Drive south of East Lake Avenue. The contractor also completed the connections to the existing water main at Knollwood Lane and Crestwood Lane. The new water main has been completely installed and is 100% operational along Longmeadow Drive from East Lake Avenue to Glenview Road.

This past week, the contractor also installed water valve vaults, fire hydrants, connections between the previously directionally drilled water main, and connected to the existing water main at Bellwood Lane and Executive Court. The contractor also began directional drilling the new water main along Ralmark Lane on the easterly side from the cul-de-sac to Bellwood Lane.

South of East Lake Avenue: Next week, the contractor is anticipating to complete the storm sewer repairs. The contractor will then begin and concrete curb & gutter replacements and paving of the stone trenches.

North of East Lake Avenue: Next week, the contractor will complete the directional drilling of the water main along Ralmark from the cul-de-sac to Bellwood Lane. The contractor will also begin directional drilling along Bellwood Lane from Ralmark Lane to Greenwood Road. Work will continue along Longmeadow and Bellwood installing the water valve vaults, fire hydrants, and making connections to the previously directionally drilled sections of pipe. Testing of the new water main will likely begin next week prior to starting to install new water services.

Thank you for your patience during the construction operations.
