Water Main Installation Continues

This past week the contractor continued to directional drill new water main along Longmeadow Drive south of East Lake Avenue. The water main is installed from Glenview Road to Crestwood Lane. The contractor also installed water valve vaults and fire hydrants along the newly installed main.  The contractor installed storm sewer at the intersection of Longmeadow Drive and Knollwood Lane.

Next week the contractor will perform testing on the newly installed water main along Longmeadow Drive from Crestwood Lane to Glenview Road.  The contractor will also continue to directionally drill water main along Longmeadow Drive from Crestwood Lane to East Lake Avenue and install water valve vaults and fire hydrants after the main is installed.  The contractor also anticipates installing the storm sewer at the intersection of Crestwood Lane and Longmeadow Drive.

Mid next week, the contractor is anticipating to move to the north side of East Lake Avenue to begin directionally drilling the water main along Longmeadow Drive, Ralmark Lane, and Bellwood Lane. The exact location for starting to directional drilling the water main is unknown at this time.

Once the water main tests have passed, the contractor will begin installing new water services to each residence along Longmeadow Drive from Glenview Road to Crestwood Lane. This process may begin late next week, but more likely the beginning of the week of June 10th.

Thank you for your patience during the construction operations.
