Water Services South of East Lake Avenue to Begin

This past week the contractor completed directional drilling the new water main along Longmeadow Drive south of East Lake Avenue and began directional drilling along Longmeadow Drive north of East Lake Avenue. The contractor also installed water valve vaults and fire hydrants along the newly installed main.  The contractor installed storm sewer at the intersection of Longmeadow Drive and Crestwood Lane.

Next week the contractor will complete testing on the newly installed water main along Longmeadow Drive from Crestwood Lane to Glenview Road and continue to directionally drill water main along Longmeadow Drive and Bellwood Lane north of East Lake Avenue.

The contractor will also connect the new water main to the existing water main on the north end of Longmeadow Drive, just south of East Lake Avenue. A water main shut down will be required for this work. Residents effected by the shut-down will be notified.

Next week the contractor will begin installing new water services to individual homes along Longmeadow Drive south of East Lake Avenue from Glenview Road to the north.

During water service installation and connection to the existing service, water to individual homes will be shut off for a short period of time. The contractor will knock on the door of any home that will not have water prior to turning it off.

Thank you for your patience during the construction operations.
