Water Services South of East Lake Avenue Continue

This past week the contractor performed testing on the newly installed water main along Longmeadow Drive between Crestwood Lane and East Lake Avenue. The contractor also continued to install new water services to individual homes along Longmeadow Drive between Knollwood Lane and Crestwood Lane and performed various storm sewer work along Longmeadow Drive between Knollwood Lane and East Lake Avenue. All water services along Longmeadow Drive from Glenview Road to Crestwood Lane have been transferred to the new water main. The contractor did not perform any directional drilling this week in an effort to get caught up with some of the other work associated with the project.

Next week the contractor will directional drill new water main along Ralmark Lane from Longmeadow Drive to the cul-de-sac.  Water services along Longmeadow Drive from Crestwood Lane to East Lake Avenue will also begin. The contractor is also anticipating making the connection between the new and existing water mains at the intersection of Knollwood Lane and Longmeadow Drive, a water shut down will be required for this work. Residents will be notified 24-hours in advance of any water main shut down.

The contractor will not be working on Thursday, July 4th and is not anticipating performing any work on-site on Friday July 5th.

During water service installation and connection to the existing service, water to individual homes will be shut off for a short period of time. The contractor will knock on the door of any home that will not have water prior to turning it off.

Thank you for your patience during the construction operations.
