Concrete Curb & Gutter Completed on South Side

North of East Lake Avenue: This past week the contractor installed water services to individual homes along Ralmark Lane, Bellwood Lane from Ralmark to Executive Drive, and Longmeadow from Ralmark to Bellwood. The contractor also completed the required testing of the new water system. Once the results of those tests are returned and proper approvals are acquired, the remaining water services along Bellwood Lane and Longmeadow Drive will be completed. The contractor also completed some general clean-up along the site.

Last week, south of East Lake Avenue, the contractor completed the concrete curb & gutter repairs. The contractor also graded, cut, and installed topsoil in preparation of sod installation. The contractor also completed general clean-up along the project site.

South of East Lake Avenue: Next week, the landscape sub-contractor will continue to grade and install topsoil in preparation for sod installation. Depending on the weather conditions, the contractor may begin installing sod. Otherwise, the contractor will wait until the weather is cooler for more favorable growing conditions. The contractor will also begin performing asphalt trench patching and a few other miscellaneous repairs.

North of East Lake Avenue: Next week, the contractor will complete the water service installations once all of the test results and required approvals are received. The contractor will also begin making connections and disconnections to the existing water system at various locations. The connections between the existing water main and new water main will require sections of the water main to be shut-off. The storm sewer improvements are also anticipated to begin.

Residents will be notified at least 24-hours in advance of any scheduled water main shut-down.

During water service installation and connection to the existing service, water to individual homes will be shut off for a short period of time. The contractor will knock on the door of any home that will not have water prior to turning it off. The contractor will attempt to give each resident approximately 1 hour notice prior to turning off the water to install the water service.

Thank you for your patience during the construction operations.
